Christina Stegman

Chrissy is the Director of Grants at What is Your Voice, Inc. She comes to the organization with over 20 years’ experience working in the non-profit sector. Chrissy is passionate about empowering marginalized communities, gender equality, and creating opportunities to strengthen communication. Prior to joining WIYV, Chrissy was Program Manager for a national, independent, non-profit organization which provided long-term, in-patient mental health services to individuals in Pennsylvania. She also worked on implementing STEM opportunities for individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia by partnering with local colleges and science entities in Baltimore, Maryland. Additionally, Chrissy has created content for many large publishing houses and educational media groups. She was also involved in several projects which created braille materials for non-sighted readers. In her spare time, Chrissy is actively involved in volunteering in the local conservation network in Baltimore County, Maryland through iNaturalist. She can also be found hiking and birdwatching.
Chrissy attended Towson University for a designation in Music Therapy and then attended Penn State University for Psychology and Neuroscience. She is currently undertaking the Creative Writing Specialization through Wesleyan University.
